Spanish cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me has received approval from Argentina's National Securities Commission (CNV) to become a virtual asset service provider (VASP).
In March, CNV opened the registration of virtual asset service providers, a requirement for companies in the sector wishing to do business in the country. According to the official list provided by CNV, 79 companies have been approved so far.
On June 15, 2023, Bit2Me completed a $15 million financing round led by Investcorp, with participation from Telefónica Ventures, Stratminds VC, Cardano and YGG Fund, the investment arm of Telefónica, Spain's largest telecommunications company.
