Trump has suffered two apparent assassination attempts, and lawmakers from both parties have urged stronger security protections
Last Sunday, former US President Donald Trump was targeted in a second apparent assassination attempt, and members of Congress from both parties are urging the Secret Service to strengthen his protection.
The bipartisan task force investigating the shooting is understood to have sought a briefing on Sunday's events. "All major presidential candidates deserve the highest level of presidential-level'protection '," said one congressman. "Anything that does not provide the greatest level of protection is self-inflicted harm and puts the stability of our country at serious risk."
