On September 18, crypto industry players established a non-profit organization called the Decentralized AI Society (DAIS), dedicated to addressing the possibility of artificial intelligence (AI) industry monopoly. The group is led by Michael Casey, a former chief content officer at CoinDesk and chairperson of Consensus. The eight founding members of DAIS include CETIAI, Filecoin Foundation, Bloq, Hypercycle, Morpheus, Hemi, Odyssey, and Lumerin.
