CPA Australia: Proposes that the Hong Kong government launch a Web 3 development task force
CPA Australia said that the Hong Kong government should continue to implement reforms in the upcoming policy address to maintain Hong Kong's international status. Ip Yunkai, president of the association's Greater China branch in 2024, said: To enhance the trading of exchange traded funds, CPA Australia proposes to expand the diversity of products. In addition, the Hong Kong government should also consider providing more comprehensive information to help the public understand complex concepts such as digital assets.
In order to establish Hong Kong as a leading region for Web 3 and virtual assets, CPA Australia recommends that the Hong Kong government consider integrating the development and regulation of these technologies into a Web 3 development task force. In further developing Hong Kong into an international innovation and technology center, it believes that the Hong Kong government should consider whether it is necessary to formulate a comprehensive set of regulations to regulate the safe use of artificial intelligence. The regulations should consider whether they are risk-based or rules-based. It is also recommended that measures in the policy address include supporting SMEs to apply artificial intelligence solutions, rapidly upgrading technology and enhancing the network flexibility of SMEs, and enhancing the digital skills of employees.
