Chainlink transferred over $200 million worth of LINK to Binance in the last 5 hours.
According to on-chain analyst Ember, in the past 5 hours, Chainlink has unlocked and transferred 18.75 million LINK (worth $214.60 million) from 5 non-circular supply addresses: 18.125 million (worth $207.50 million) to Binance; 625,000 ($7.15 million) to 0xD50... 8Af multi-signature address.
Every three months, Chainlink's non-circular supply address unlocks and transfers about 20 million LINK. Most of them are transferred directly to Binance, and a small part is transferred to the 0xD50... 8Af address (the LINK part of the transfer to this address enters the LINK pledge reward distribution contract, which is used to issue rewards to staking users).
Since 2022, almost 133.40 million LINKs (worth $1.29 billion) have been unlocked in this way and flowed into Binance, with an average price of $9.69.
Although a large amount of LINK was unlocked and flowed into Binance on a quarterly basis, each transfer of LINK into Binance did not result in a significant decrease in the price of LINK.
