The poll showed Harris at 48% and Trump at 47%, a gap that suggests there is no clear front-runner in this race. The poll also showed that Harris and Trump were roughly evenly matched among independent voters - Harris at 45 percent and Trump at 41 percent - with the gender gap largely concentrated among independent voters.
