Binance has been serving some users in the country since then

According to Cointelegraph, since Binance announced its withdrawal from Russia in September last year, visits to its local website have dropped significantly. According to data shared by web analytics platform SimilarWeb, traffic to Binance's website in Russia fell by 43% between August 2023 and July 2024. Despite the apparent decline, Russia remained one of the largest sources of traffic to Binance's website during this period, accounting for 6% of its total visits. Russia's traffic share was comparable to other major markets on Binance, including Turkey and Vietnam, which accounted for 8% and 6.6% of its total traffic, respectively. Binance declined to say whether its large traffic share in Russia or certain services offered to Russian users meant the company was still operating in the market or resuming operations. A Binance spokesperson said: "We will continue to serve a limited number of existing Russian users to ensure the safety and security of their digital assets." The Binance representative stressed that the cryptocurrency exchange "complies with global sanctions regulations" and "fully complies with restrictions on individuals, entities and countries subject to international sanctions".
