The U.S. unemployment rate unexpectedly fell to 4.1 percent, the lowest level since June 2024

On October 4th, the unemployment rate in the United States recorded 4.1% in September, the lowest since June 2024. In addition, the number of new non-farm payrolls in July was revised from 89,000 to 144,000; the number of new non-farm payrolls in August was revised from 142,000 to 150,000. After the correction, the number of new jobs in July and August was 72,000 higher than before the revision.
