U.S. Department of Homeland Security: $4.30 billion worth of cryptocurrency seized in last three years
On October 7, according to Cointelegraph, Mike Prado, deputy head of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybercrime Center, said that the department has thwarted 537 ransomware attacks since its establishment in 2021, and has tracked and seized $4.30 billion worth of cryptocurrencies on exchanges and hacked devices, which were stolen through ransomware payments.
