AI godfather Jeffrey Hinton won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics

Hopfield of Princeton University in the United States and Geoffrey E. Hinton of the University of Toronto in Canada, in recognition of their "fundamental discoveries and inventions for machine learning using artificial neural networks."
