The cryptocurrency promoted by Cardi B has been traced back to the origin of the scam

The crypto wallet address shared by American rapper and social media personality Cardi B when their social account was stolen to promote WAP tokens has been traced to an experienced crypto scammer. Preliminary investigations by anonymous blockchain investigator Wazz revealed that the wallet address shared by Cardi B was linked to multiple rug pull projects. Crypto security firm Paidun suspects that Cardi B's X account may have been hacked by crypto scammers. However, Cardi B has recently posted several cat-related tweets, suggesting that the decision to reveal the WAP tokens was pre-planned. Wazz also dismissed Paidun's speculation that the account could have been hacked. Wazz said she was not compromised, which was premeditated. Whether this is a scam or a legitimate project, members of the crypto community have noticed the prevalence of scams and frauds associated with celebrity tokens. Blockchain data lake visualization platform BubbleMaps found that 60% of the WAP supply was bundled at launch. Additionally, it noted that about $500,000 worth of tokens had been dumped within 10 hours of the project's launch.
