According to Cryptonews, the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) is hiring a Senior Blockchain Analyst to address financial crimes in the cryptocurrency industry, including money laundering. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in the cryptocurrency industry and be familiar with blockchain analytics and the use of open source intelligence tools. At the same time, in-depth knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules and related legal frameworks is also required. This position is primarily responsible for assessing the risk of illegal activities by DFS-regulated virtual currency licensees using blockchain analytics and on-chain attribution, monitoring the dashboard for anomalies that could indicate money laundering or sanctions violations, and conducting further investigation and reporting.
