Hezbollah publicly supports a ceasefire in Lebanon for the first time, and does not make ending the Gaza conflict a condition
On October 8, according to CNN, a senior official of Hezbollah in Lebanon said on Tuesday that Hezbollah supports efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon, which is the first time the group has publicly supported a ceasefire and does not condition it on stopping the conflict in Gaza. Naim Qassem, deputy chairperson of Hezbollah in Lebanon, said, "We support the political efforts led by [parliament speaker] Berry under the principle of achieving a ceasefire. Once the ceasefire is confirmed and diplomatic means can lead to a ceasefire, all other details will be discussed and we will decide together."
