Canary Capital files spot XRP ETF application with SEC
Cryptocurrency investment firm Canary Capital has filed a registration application for a spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), becoming the second company to file for such a product this month. Founder Steven McClurg said the company sees more progressive regulatory environments as demand for blockchain solutions grows. The ETF will provide investors with access to the XRP market through traditional brokerage accounts, avoiding the latent risk of holding XRP directly. The trustee of the ETF has not yet been identified.
