Symbiotic, a re-staking protocol, has released an update on the X account theft incident, "On October 5th at approximately 06:00, its X account was compromised by an unknown threat actor who began posting links to phishing pages designed to mimic Symbiotic's website. Within 15 minutes of becoming aware of the attack, we helped with the investigation and control through Security Alliance, independent security advisors, and X Support. According to the investigation, the incident did not impact the website or core smart contracts, and all of these funds were secure. We are investigating our Google Workspace logs, possible reset process, MFA settings, and company devices, and have not found any evidence at this time that our systems were compromised or employee credentials were compromised."
