Kraken Survey: Cryptocurrency Investors Prefer Average Dollar Cost Method When Entering the Market
According to a survey by cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, the majority of cryptocurrency investors prefer to use the dollar cost averaging method (DCA) when entering the market.
The survey of 1,109 cryptocurrency investors published by Kraken on October 7 revealed that about 83.5% of investors used DCA strategies, with 59% still using them as their primary way of buying cryptocurrencies.
Dollar-cost averaging refers to buying an asset at regular intervals, such as once a month, regardless of price, which Kraken researchers claim can "reduce the impact of short-term price fluctuations and eliminate emotions that can affect judgment."
