The comprehensive TPS of the Ethereum scaling ecosystem has reached an all-time high
On June 17, the transaction volume per second (TPS) of the Ethereum ecosystem has surged to an all-time high due to the sudden surge in TPS of Ethereum Layer3. L2BEAT data shows that on June 16, the Ethereum scaling network, including the Layer2 and Layer3 blockchains, recorded a total of 246.18 TPS, equivalent to an estimated 21.20 million transactions throughout the day. Of these, more than 41% of transactions took place on Xai, a new Ethereum Layer3 scaling solution powered by Offchain Labs that focuses on gaming applications. Before June 10, Xai's TPS hovered around 1 per day, but has since risen almost daily, reaching a maximum of 101.72 TPS on June 16.
Base and Arbitrum were in the top three on June 16 with 33 and 21 TPS, respectively. In fourth place is Proof of Play Apex - another game-centric Ethereum Layer3 expander from Offchain Labs. However, TVLs for Xai and Proof of Play Apex are still relatively small at $1.38 million and $695,000, respectively. In comparison, Arbitrum One and Base, the two largest Ethereum scaling solutions, currently have TVLs of $18 billion and $7.60 billion, respectively, by TVL.
