The SEC has charged Moog's subsidiary with bribery in India in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

Moog Inc., a New York-based global manufacturer of motion control systems for the aerospace, defense, industrial, and medical markets, has agreed to pay a $1.10 million civil penalty for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) by paying bribes, the SEC announced today. The SEC found that from 2020 to 2022, employees of Moog Motion Controls paid bribes to multiple Indian officials to win business and also used a variety of means to make improper payments, including through third-party agents and distributors. These Moog Motion Controls employees also paid bribes to Indian officials in an attempt to get publicly invited tenders in India to favor Moog's products and exclude competitors.
