Russia's Buratiya bitcoin mining hotspot will undergo an energy upgrade and go live by the end of 2029
On October 14, it was reported that the bitcoin mining hotspot in Buratiya, Russia, will undergo an energy upgrade, and the transformed thermal power plant will come online "before the end of 2029", when "not only heat but also electricity will be generated."
The local government said the move would help Buratiya "build a power reserve" that would help the area cope with "the increasing load on the grid".
