Terra founder Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro on March 23, 2023, but his electronic devices were not handed over to the investigating judge until June of that year. After the police failed to confiscate his cryptocurrency private keys in time, they successfully transferred digital assets from prison. The transferred cryptocurrencies may be Luna and TerraUSD worth millions of dollars. During Do Kwon's detention, at least three cryptocurrency transactions were carried out using Do Kwon's crypto wallet, two sources said. The information was carried out through accounts linked to a mobile phone company in Podgorica. According to sources, his arrest was planned and a tip about Do Kwon's forged passport was received by Montenegro's border guards. Montenegro's justice minister has not yet decided whether to extradite both to South Korea or the United States.
