CME bitcoin futures unpositioned squaring contract hits record high
Bitcoin futures unpositioned squaring contracts (OI) traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) have hit an all-time high of more than $12.26 billion as of Oct. 18, according to The Block data. The number has grown by more than 36 percent in the last two weeks and is more than 3.5 percent above the previous all-time high set in April. Unpositioned squaring positions have surged in recent weeks and are up sharply from summer levels. This is the highest since CME unpositioned squaring positions hit $11.84 billion on April 1.
