Hong Kong Association of Banks survey: 75% of Hong Kong citizens are willing to open a digital bank account
The Hong Kong Association of Banks' Digital Banking Public Education Task Force survey shows that respondents' trust in digital banks has increased significantly, with more than 97% of individuals and 99% of SME respondents satisfied with the security measures, and more than 90% of individuals and SME respondents satisfied with the security measures to protect personal data and prevent fraud; 80.3% of individuals and 92.1% of SME respondents believe that they have a certain understanding of digital banks, an increase of 27.3% and 9.1 percentage points respectively year-on-year; nearly 75% of individual respondents said they are willing or very willing to open new accounts in other digital banks.
