Stacks' Nakamoto Upgrade Introduces "Fast Blocks" and "Bitcoin Finality" Mechanisms

On October 29th, Muneeb Ali, co-founder of the Bitcoin Layer2 network Stacks, said on the X platform that the Nakamoto upgrade of Stacks has been successfully launched. With this upgrade, the finality of Bitcoin has reached 100% for Stacks Layer2 transactions, and the transaction ordering and reversal are protected by the full hashing power of Bitcoin; "Fast Blocks" reduces the delay to a few seconds, instead of 10-40 minutes for Bitcoin; Stacks no longer forks with Bitcoin, and the only way to make Stacks L2 fork is to reorganize Bitcoin itself; Nakamoto laid the groundwork for the SBTC to go live, which is expected to go live in 4-6 weeks from now. The core developers released this version with a focus on cyber security and a massive upgrade. In the coming weeks, more optimizations for internet bandwidth and latency will be rolled out; these upgrades are not consensus critical upgrades, but normal node upgrades.
