Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm's criminal trial postponed to April 2025
A judge in New York has ruled that the criminal trial of Roman Storm, co-founder of Tornado Cash, will be adjourned until April 2025 to resolve disagreements over expert witness disclosures. The trial was originally scheduled for December. Storm's legal team has filed an injunction with the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to overturn the expert witness order, with a hearing scheduled for November 12. Storm faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted on three counts of aiding money laundering, unlicensed money transfers and sanctions violations.
