US Presidential Election Hits, Trump Grows Advantage in Key Swing States

Capital Economics said the outcome of the US Presidential Election is still difficult to predict, but Donald Trump does appear to be gradually leading in some key swing states. Near 11:30 p.m. ET, The New York Times gave Trump a 91% chance of winning, predicting he would win 300 electoral votes, well above the 270 election threshold, and on Polymarket Trump had a 94% chance of winning. The agency also noted that the market has reacted, with the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note rising to 4.42% from 4.30% a day earlier. The dollar strengthened, especially against the Mexican peso, with equity futures up 1.2%.
