After Trump's election victory, BlackRock spot bitcoin ETF reached $1 billion in trading volume in 20 minutes
The day after Donald Trump won the US Presidential Election, the BlackRock Spot Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) surged to $1 billion in trading volume in the opening 20 minutes. "The IBIT was trading at $1 billion in the first 20 minutes, which is about the volume of its entire day," said Eric Balchunas, senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg. "The other bitcoin ETFs are facing the same situation, with crazy volume. Record volume is on track."
BlackRock's bitcoin ETF has about $30 billion in assets under management, higher than other bitcoin ETFs. BlackRock, Fidelity and Grey Release's spot bitcoin ETFs were all trading up about 8 percent as of 1:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, according to Yahoo Finance.
