The US Department of Justice has accused Iran of plotting to murder Trump before the US election, but Iran has not responded yet
The Department of Justice announced a criminal charge on November 8 local time, accusing Iran of plotting to murder former US president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump ahead of this week's US presidential election. The Justice Department said an Iranian official directed a contact in September to develop a plan to spy on and ultimately kill Trump. The plan was thwarted by the FBI and failed. There has been no response from Iran.
