Song Qichao attended the 23rd Ministerial Meeting of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Mechanism
On November 9, 2024, the 23rd Ministerial Meeting of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Mechanism was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. With the theme of "Building a More Integrated and Resilient Central Asia Region", the meeting discussed topics such as deepening CAREC regional cooperation and jointly addressing climate change. Assistant Minister of Finance Song Qichao led a delegation to attend the meeting and delivered a speech. Song Qichao pointed out that in order to promote the stable economic recovery and sustainable development of the Central Asia region, member states should focus on key areas and further deepen practical cooperation; actively respond to climate change and achieve green and sustainable development; expand partnerships and continuously promote regional integration. China is willing to strengthen exchanges and sharing of experience in green and low-carbon development with all member states, so as to make positive contributions to the joint response to climate change in Central Asia. He said that since the beginning of this year, China's economy has maintained an overall stable and steady development trend, and has the conditions, ability and confidence to achieve the annual economic development goal. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held in July this year made systematic arrangements for comprehensively deepening reform. China will further deepen reform in an all-round way, especially high-level opening up, and release more reform and opening up dividends to the world.
