Holograph's first HLG destruction has been completed, and a total of 53.24 million tokens have been destroyed
On June 20, the full-chain NFT protocol Holograph tweeted that it has completed the first HLG destruction, with a total of 53,249,975 tokens destroyed, and the remaining 946,750,025 HLGs have yet to be destroyed. In addition, the remaining amount of HLG in circulation is about 800 million, and after extensive discussions with the community, the plan to restore the total HLG supply to 10 billion has been initiated.
Previously, Holograph released an exploit update, which was exploited by a former contractor to mint additional 1 billion HLG tokens on Mantle, resulting in the protocol being temporarily blocked. The malicious actor has been frozen in accounts on multiple exchanges, and at least 200 million of the additional 1 billion HLGs minted have been frozen.
