Jason Lowery has applied for a White House position to advise on bitcoin's national security strategy
"Softwar" author and U.S. Space Force Major Jason Lowery has announced that he has submitted an application to serve as a military advisor to the National Security Council (NSC) and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).
Lowery plans to advise the Department of Defense on the national strategic implications of proof-of-work (PoW) technology, as well as on policies related to strategic bitcoin reserves and U.S. hashrate forces. He believes that PoW technology can serve as a non-kinetic defense system to deter cyber threats by imposing a physical cost on electricity consumption.
