UNICEF invests $400,000 to support blockchain, Web3 and artificial intelligence in developing countries
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced an investment of $400,000 to support promising startups doing business around blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI), but with a focus on developing countries and economies. It is reported that the funding came from the UNICEF Venture Fund, which is dedicated to startups that have received seed funding in the past and have achieved their initial goals. Three AI and blockchain companies have been selected. They are Rumsan, a blockchain company from Nepal, Xcapit from Argentina, and Tilli, an artificial intelligence company from Sri Lanka.
