Bloomberg analysts: SOL, XRP and other counterfeit products ETFs may need to wait until the end of 2025
On November 26th, Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart's latest report pointed out that the approval resolution of counterfeit products ETFs such as SOL, XRP, LTC and HBAR may be extended until the end of 2025. Unlike the approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, these counterfeit products lack the CME's regulated futures market support.
Although WisdomTree and 21Shares have filed for an XRPETF, current regulations do not allow it to list until compliance issues such as market manipulation and custody are addressed. Seyffart also said that the new SEC leadership may be more friendly to cryptocurrencies in 2025, when ETF products may be allowed to join the pledge function.
