Musk and Ramaswamy will travel to Capitol Hill to discuss federal government reform
Elon Musk, the US entrepreneur, and Vivek Ramaswamy, the former Republican presidential contender, will travel to Capitol Hill on December 5 to discuss with House and Senate Republicans major reform ideas "to achieve deregulation, administrative cuts and cost savings", Mike Johnson, the speaker of the US House of Representatives, said on November 27 local time. This follows President-elect Donald Trump's announcement on November 12 that Musk and Ramaswamy will jointly lead the proposed "Department of Government Effectiveness" when he becomes president, which will "pave the way for dismantling government bureaucracy, cutting redundant regulations and wasteful spending, and restructuring federal agencies".
