Geoff Kendrick, global head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered, said that Bitcoin's breakout of $100,000 is mainly due to the institutionalization of the industry this year, particularly the continued inflow of ETF funds, which have purchased about 3% of the total bitcoin supply in 2024.
