The Federal Reserve's Daley: Support gradualism and deal with economic uncertainty
Ms Daly said the Fed had adjusted its policy by cutting interest rates and that the current level of interest rates was "about right", and she supported gradual measures. Ms Daly highlighted the uncertainty of the current economic environment, with uncertainty about the pace at which inflation would return to its 2 per cent target and the continued strength of the labour market. She said the Fed should watch economic data carefully and stand ready to raise rates again if necessary. At the same time, the synchronicity of global central bank policies is much less than before, and future policies need to pay more attention to changes in the actual economic situation.
