FBI informant pleads guilty to federal charges after falsely accusing Biden father and son of taking bribes
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) informant Alexander Smirnoff, who was previously accused of fabricating millions of dollars in bribes for US President Joseph Biden and his son Hunter Biden, has agreed to plead guilty, according to court documents filed on December 12 local time. It is understood that Smirnoff reached a plea deal with David Weiss, special counsel to the Justice Department. Under the agreement, the two sides will recommend a sentence of at least 48 months and no more than 72 months in prison.
