The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) is preparing to file "multiple charges" against Musk and has reopened an investigation into his brain-computer interface company, Neuralink. Musk's lawyer, Alex Spiro, also noted in a December 12 letter to outgoing Securities Exchange Commission chairperson Gary Gensler that the commission has issued a settlement demand that Musk be paid within 48 hours or face multiple charges.
