Santiment: Bitcoin may be gradually moving away from the normal volatility trajectory of global stock markets, a bullish signal

On January 7th, crypto market research firm Santiment posted on the X platform that the correlation between cryptocurrencies and stocks has remained at a high level since Trump was elected as the 47th President of the United States two months ago. But today, we observe that Bitcoin has shown a soaring trend relative to the S & P 500 Index (based on its regular volatility range). For most of the past three years, the image of cryptocurrencies in the minds of most community members has gradually shifted to "highly leveraged technology stocks". However, signs in early 2025 suggest that bitcoin may be gradually breaking away from the normal volatility trajectory of global stock markets. Historically, cryptocurrency markets tend to thrive during periods of little or no correlation with the stock market, ushering in the most pronounced bull run. If bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can grow strongly in January without relying on the S & P 500 Index, it will be a strong signal that the likelihood of record highs has increased significantly.
