Alex Stokes, a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation, announced that he is co-head of the Ethereum Foundation with barnabe.eth, and he also introduced that the Ethereum Foundation Research, the launch research arm of the Ethereum Gold Foundation, will consist of five teams, namely: 1. Applied Research Group (ARG): Helps to translate theory into practice. 2. Consensus research and development: Many interests are focused on improving the consensus layer. 3. Cryptography: using interesting mathematics to reduce the trust in each part of the stack. 4. Protocol security: Use a variety of tools and bug bounty programs to ensure the security of the software and specifications behind the network. 5. RIG: The economic/game theory perspective reinforces the unique mechanism of Ethereum.
