US President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday morning on the "Truth Social" platform that if Canada became the 51st state of the United States, it would be "tariff-free!" The president wrote: "Therefore, Canada should be our cherished 51st state. Canadians will enjoy much lower taxes, much better military protection, and - tariff-free!"
