A member of Musk's DOGE team has resigned over racist remarks
On February 7, according to NPR, Marko Elez, an employee of Musk's Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), resigned after his past racist social media comments were exposed.
The 25-year-old former X and SpaceX employee, who previously worked at the US Treasury to cut costs and fight fraud, was one of two temporary DOGE appointees who gained access to the Treasury's highly sensitive payment system. The resignation was confirmed by a White House official who was not authorized to speak publicly.
