Sino-Thai Joint Statement: Zero tolerance for cross-border crimes, China and Thailand will establish a coordination and cooperation mechanism as soon as possible to effectively combat online gambling and e-fraud
On February 8, the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand released a joint statement on future-oriented, people-centered, strengthening comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and promoting the building of a more stable, prosperous and sustainable China-Thailand community with a shared future. The two sides stressed that under the bilateral and Lancang-Mekong cooperation and other regional cooperation mechanisms, with a resolute attitude of zero tolerance, they will strengthen the fight against cross-border crimes such as human trafficking, telecommunications network fraud, drug smuggling, illegal online gambling, money laundering, and carry out joint patrol and law enforcement operations on the Mekong River. The two sides will further discuss establishing an appropriate coordination and cooperation mechanism as soon as possible to effectively crack down on online gambling and electricity fraud. The two sides agreed to actively participate in the "Safe Lancang-Mekong Operation", jointly promote judicial cooperation between the Lancang-Me
