Former CFTC Chairperson Behnam has left, and Trump has not yet named a successor

On February 8th, according to Cointelegraph, the former chairperson of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Rostin Behnam, has officially resigned on February 7th, and President Trump has not yet nominated a successor. Behnam had announced on January 7 that he would step down as chairperson on the day of Trump's inauguration, and Caroline Pham was subsequently elected as acting chairperson. The five-member committee is currently split between Republicans and Democrats. While there have been reports that Trump may nominate former CFTC commissioner Brian Quintenz, the White House has yet to issue any official statement.
