Cryptocurrency gamblers on the online betting platform Polymarket have predicted that US President Joe Biden could drop out of the upcoming general election due to his poor performance in the debate with Donald Trump. Gamblers put the probability of Biden dropping out at 38 cents to 63 cents. Forecasting startup Manifold also showed that the odds of Biden becoming the Democratic nominee dropped from 94% to 68% in the past day. Market experts have pointed out that Biden's health and cognitive ability issues have attracted widespread attention. Possible replacements include California Governor Gavin Newsom, former First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris.
