The SEC is seeking new members for its Investor Advisory Committee
According to Bitcoin News, the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) is in the midst of an open call for new members for its Investor Advisory Committee, established under Section 911 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, to advise the SEC on regulatory priorities, securities products, trading strategies, and more.
SEC Acting Chairperson Mark T. Uyeda said that diverse investor perspectives will help the SEC better fulfill its mission. Applicants are required to submit their applications by email by March 15, 2025. It is worth noting that the SEC's regulatory stance on cryptocurrencies has shifted after Uyeda took over from Gary Gensler as Acting Chairperson. Commissioner Hester Peirce is currently leading a new working group dedicated to revising digital asset regulations.
