The Ethereum Beam Chain will be renamed due to trademark issues

Ethereum core developer Justin Drake released a statement revealing that the first community meeting of Beam Chain has made important progress, but the project name needs to be changed due to trademark issues. The conference revealed that there are currently 14 consensus layer teams participating, covering all continents except Antarctica, and the development languages include Zig, C, C++, C.# Etc. The meeting introduced the addition of 8 new teams, the support of 6 mainnet consensus layer teams, and 2 new Ethereum Foundation coordinators. Drake said that the project is a multi-year initiative to completely upgrade the Ethereum L1 infrastructure, and the second community meeting will be held on February 28 at 14:00 UTC to focus on technological advancements such as post-quantum signatures.
