X has sharply increased the price of Premium + subscription fees, and the price of Grok 3 has almost doubled since its release
On February 18th, according to TechCrunch, after Elon Musk's AI company xAI released its latest AI model Grok 3, the X platform has significantly increased the price of its Premium + subscription plan. The plan gives users access to Grok 3 models, and the monthly subscription fee has now risen to nearly $50.
According to X's support page, the monthly fee for the Premium + plan in the United States has been updated to $50, and the annual fee is $350. This is the second time in the past few months that X has increased the monthly fee for Premium + from $16 to $22 in December. Under these new prices, Premium + subscribers will pay more than twice the current fee.
In addition, xAI puts some of the features of Grok 3 into a separate SuperGrok plan, which is available through the Grok app. Therefore, features like "deep search" and "inference" are only available to Premium + users.
It is worth noting that the pricing of X is inconsistent. When the reporter tried to subscribe to Premium +, X showed a monthly fee of $39.83 (annual fee of $477.95), but the final billing page showed an annual fee of $395. And while the X support page showed a monthly fee of $50, the registration page listed a price of $48.40, and the billing page showed a monthly fee of $40.
