Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission: 12 Proposals Included in Virtual Asset Development Roadmap
According to NOW Financial reports, the Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission will announce the virtual asset development roadmap this afternoon. Ye Zhiheng, executive director of the intermediary department of the Securities Supervision Commission, said at the Consensus Forum that it is not difficult to formulate the roadmap, and the focus is on how to implement the roadmap. He revealed that it is not just one road, but includes 12 initiatives.
Ye Zhiheng pointed out that there is no timetable specifically set in the roadmap, because the industry and stakeholders need to rethink how quickly the 12 initiatives need to be reached. But he said that it will not take long in any case, because the market changes rapidly, and as a regulator, it needs to keep up with changes and find the fruits that are within reach, so that the market can see the results.
The Virtual Asset Advisory Group held a meeting earlier, and Ye Zhiheng, who chairs the group, said that the group, including the management of all licensed virtual asset trading platforms in Hong Kong, has provided advice to the SFC, especially whether these initiatives are on the right track, and the next step is to hope to achieve these visions quickly.
