According to the Sonic SVM announcement, the Mobius mainnet, a Layer 2 extension network based on the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), is officially launched, designed to enhance the scalability of Solana and provide a dedicated computing layer for high-frequency applications such as DeFi and GameFi. In addition, Sonic SVM launched a mainnet rewards program totaling 2.4 million SONICs, as well as a $1 million Hackathon to encourage developers to deploy applications on Mobius. The first season of Mobius is now open and will last until April 10. Developers and users can enter the Sonic SVM ecosystem, experience on-chain games and DeFi apps, and earn rewards.
