David Sacks: U.S. decisions to sell bitcoin over the past decade have cost taxpayers nearly $17 billion

David Sacks, the White House director of AI and cryptocurrency, wrote: "Over the past decade, the federal government has sold about 195,000 bitcoins for $366 million. If the government held these bitcoins, they would be worth more than $17 billion today. That's the cost to American taxpayers of not having a long-term strategy."
